In June, I will show work from the past two years at the Büro für bestimmte dinge a project of INSTITUT FÜR ALLES MÖGLICHE. This exhibition, titled "Zeitgleich," will be up during the 48 Stunden Neukölln event taking place June 14-16, 2013. So I will be working hard until then!
Work in progress
Accuracy vs. Precision (Orientations), 2013, Watercolor and gouache on paper, acrylic wall painting, 72" x 84", 12 parts. I have yet to mount the paintings onto their backing, but this is approximately what the completed installation will look like.
Additional images of new work can be viewed on my website: www.caetlynnbooth.com
Studio in Berlin-Wedding
Prepping the space for "10 Years Too Late"
A fresh coat of paint!
And the show once it was installed...

And now on to other topics:
The grand-daddy of all peppers
It was still snowy in late March...
And continued to snow...
One of the buildings framing the courtyard where my studio is located
Persisting...
Outside the U-bahn station
Underground, ironically preempting the spring that should have been.
Room decor at "The Seaside" in Chemnitz, nowhere close to a body of water... but a nice hotel.
View of Chemnitz out our window
At the D.A.A.D. conference with Tyson, Lindsey, Warren and Joe!
The underbelly of the lid to a 21-lock chest at the Schloss in Chemnitz during our tour there
One of the other exhibitions included cut paper works from the 1700s to the early 1900s
An etching showing the process for rendering an exact profile
This one was about Napoleon
Tyson's favorite on the left, my favorite from the show on the right
So, this was the first time I had snow on my birthday! But I made up for it indoors with amazing blooming jasmine.
Tyson cooked me a delicious feast with produce from the local meat market, Rogacki, and our wonderful farmers market, blocks from our house
A fine cheese selection
And two of my favorites: Schüttelbrot (mountain bread) and walnut bread
Mmmm so delicious
The Hauptbahnhof with lots of construction underway around it
A building I notice often from the bus--I like the sentiment as it applies to architecture and urban spaces and how an environment can be defined or enhanced.
This wall painting on the side of this building is a great example--it mimics other roof lines with aesthetic playfulness.
Other buildings in our neighborhood...
Simple and awesome
Recently, Tyson and I celebrated our 2-year wedding anniversary. Cheers to many more together!
